We got our sign (though not lighted) from one of the vendors at market night at Lake Sumter Landing. They have many choices available.

Go LSL on Tuesday or Thursday, as there is a vendor who only sells signs, in LSL. Don't know their name, but they are on the same side of the square, nearest Cty Fire.

I paid $63 for mine. You get all the new hardware, along with the sign.

You pay for it, and it magically appears, installed in a couple of weeks.

Thank you all. It has been 50+ years since I sent a thank you letter to SantaClaus. Feels good. Real good. I guess I'll be at LSL on Tuesday night.

Bought a porcelain sign at Jackies that has broken twice-it is now unfixable. Brought it up to Jackies at LSM and was told that porcelain signs do break and they do not warranty them. They said they tell everyone this-I was not told! $60 of junk! Spend a little extra and get metal. Also have seen these signs at Market of Marion.

Our first one was made of acrylic...blew off in a thunderstorm and shattered. Paid a bit more and got metal.

The young woman that sold us ours at Jackies, did explain to us the non-metal ones. When they swing in the air from wind, can cause breakage where the metal attached to the sign, rubs. This may have been after you had your issue.

They have a wide variety of sample pictures to pick from and you can choose whatever color you want. They also have samples that you can see first hand. We found them to be quite reasonable and even deliver/install.

Ace Hardware sells them (or used to; got ours several years ago) but the selection of styles is somewhat limited. There was a very nominal fee (I want to say $3 or something) for installation.

Signs can also be ordered at the Village Pack 'n Ship.

I don't have a lighted sign, just a regular one, but I came home to find it laying on the ground. I guess the wind blew it off. I got rid of the "s" hooks and secured it with key ring circles...the kind you have to work the key around several loops. I got them at the automotive checkout at WalMart.

As for the lighted signs, they would have to be wired into photo sensor just like the existing light at the top of the pole.

Our Sales Rep, Julia Powell, (what a sweet heart) gave us a gift certificate for a sign. It was through Bob Martin.

He has a website. bobmartin dot com.

What we chose was fairly simple, but we think it looks great! He and I worked out the design via email, back and forth. When we had made our final decision, my husband walked out the next morning and it was there on the lamp post!

Great service! I can recommend him. He really worked with me to be sure we were happy!

Do they sell large lighted signs with sparkling lights that say I LOVE the VILLAGES, or Go Gary Morse?

I didn't think so. Probably ARC wouldn't go for it.

I also got my sign from Bob Martin Signs. My internet wasn't up yet so he came to my home and designed my sign. He also guarantees his signs for life.
