Would anyone have a suggestion as to where we can donate used mens and womens clothing. We have a couple of bags full. The closest Goodwill is in Ocala, we thought that there may be something a little closer. I'd be happy to deliver them.

Hi,

You can join Freecycle.com and post the items. Who ever needs the items will then contact you and pick them up.

We have been able to recycle many items. Makes life easier, cause the person picks up the items. Many times we just leave the items on the porch and the person picks them up.

Purpose of Freecycle is to keep items out of landfill dumps and give them to someone who can use the items. No money or goods exchange hands.

There is a Goodwill collection truck across the road from the Walmart on 27/441. It is on the left side of the strip mall sort of towards the back of the building. I have taken clothes there.

There is a collection box located in the back of the Bealls and Lowes stores on 441/27. They take good used clothing and also shoes.

St. Timothy here in the Villages also has a pick-up at the church once a month. They will take all gently used articles of clothing and appliances, etc.
