View Full Version : Comcast - New Charges - Check Your Bill!
I just got a letter from Comcast that my account had been reviewed and I was now going to be charged a HD Technology Fee and a Monthly Modem Rental.
Apparently the HD Technology Fee is new for everyone (so the customer rep said).
I did get the modem rental off the bill since I have owned my modem for years but every so often they try to bill me for it again.
When I called a message said I would be charged $5.99 for talking to a rep. But when I questioned the charge the rep said that was only if you paid your bill via the phone. So why the message - very confusing.
Check your bill!

That's why I left Comcast. After months of trying to recoup modem rental charges (never did get most of the erroneous charge, I just gave up) on my customer owned modem, it took them only 2 months later to send me a letter saying that after reviewing my acct they would start charging me for a rental modem. Banging your head against the wall continuously is less painful than dealing with Comcast.

The problems with Comcast here never cease to amaze me! On each my NJ and FL services I have yet to encounter any dilemma such as those posted here!
Matter if fact, just called today to make sure my NJ service has been restored in anticipation of our trek back...and not only is it restored...Comcast restored my promotional rate for the 6mos on service and 12 mos on movie channels we had previously...all of which were to expire next month!
I sure am not one to gloat because I do encounter billing frets with other businesses on occasion so I understand the frustration...but so may problems here! Oy!
