Hopefully I've done it correctly. This is the gator from the holding pond on the corner of Charlotte and Hillsborough Trail (sp?). We've seen him twice sunning on the tube.

We had a gator briefly in a small pond in back of our house.
He disappeared the same way he came,
through the tubes that connect the retention ponds.
I think they mate in April, so perhaps your gator is just looking for love.

FYI gators don't come out in the wind. They have flaps in their nose and ear canals that seal off water when they are underwater they vibrate in the wind when they are surfaced and it irritates them. they also can stay underwater for over a hour.

There was one on the bank by the sandtrap on #2 Destin green this morning. About a 5 - footer.

Oh good. My first thought was wow, the gator's from Charlotte North Carolina not the village of Charlotte. Hey, he's getting more sun down here. : )

I think he's adorable, but I don't have a pet for him to eat and thankfully he's not near our home. I don't think he'd be quite as cute if he were closer. :)

Yikes,
Hope my cocker spaniel doesn't bolt out for a swim!

Wow this native Californian is going to have a lot to learn when we move to TV. I will not let a gator ruin my hopeful move. The sinkholes are a bit scary but I guess earthquakes are scary too.

I would keep very careful track of your cocker spaniel during alligator mating season.
