I have a few small, lightweight decorative items that I'd like to hang on a stucco wall on our lanai. They wouldn't be directly exposed to the weather, but they wouldn't be inside any enclosure either.

I know i could always use a hammer-drill and screw in some Tapcon screws to hang the items on. Or I could use some permanent glue to atach a hook. Either would be pretty permanent and seem like overkill for the purpose hanging a few small, decorative items that weigh only a few ounces apiece. Does anyone have any suggestions for hanging "stuff" on an exterior block and stucco wall?

Maybe those 3M removable adhesive hooks might work.

Dont mess with the glue use the tapcon you can back those out and fill them with caulk. Hate when things fall off the wall

Will this work for outside courtyard villa walls too?

Kahuna, Don't know if it would work, depends on the weight, but try silicone caulk. When you are done just peal it off. Just a thought. I have attached things to brick in the past.

I think 3M makes some incredibly strong hooks now that are non-permanent, check Lowes or Home Depot

I'd go with the Tapcons. You don't need a hammer drill. A standard drill will do. If you glue onto the painted stucco, your adhesion is only as good as the paint (which we all know, will eventually delaminate from the stucco. Use short small tapcons. It's easy to refill the holes if needed.
