Couple Canasta

I am looking for four to six couples who play "canasta" and would like to meet once a month for a social evening.

Would you be willing to count a mother/daughter team in that group? We're both rather frustrated canasta players here. Checked into hand and foot and just wasn't interested in that variation. My daughter is 20 and plays a mean game. I should know, I taught her. ;)
