The cartoon on the editorial page of the Daily Sun today (4/27) of two airline executives looking at the wheel well of an airplane commenting on the stowaway and making a determination that even three more passengers could fit in that space was very funny.
However, if you look at page E6, there is a small article about at the Aircraft Interiors Expo, many of the 500 exhibitors were promoting new ideas to fit more seats per cabin. These ideas included rows of seats facing each other, diagonal rows, and SMALLER bathrooms!
Hey, flying is just bound to get even more fun, isn't it?

I saw the article and wondered how the bathrooms could possibly be any smaller.

If they could fly at a lower altitude and go slower, they could have outdoor seating on the wings of the plane, for thrill seekers.

A few months ago I read an a article which indicated that some airlines were considering adding a " standing room " area in the very back of the plane for flights that lasted less than 90 minutes .
Strange as it sounds the proposal was to remove the back row or two of seats and to somehow provide restraint devices which would allow passengers to stand !
Sounds like a spoof but it was published in a legitimate publication .
