After 50 years in New Jersey my husband and I will be arriving at Lake Deaton on June 2nd. I'm originally from Texas and he is from Hungary, so this is going to be quite a change. Packing is driving me crazy and I love taking breaks to read TOTV.

I am so excited and can't wait to get there.

:welcome: to TOTV. Best wishes as you start living the dream.

Don't try to do everything in the first week or you will be exhausted. Take some time to have fun and give yourselfves a break.

Remember, "it's all worth it". Keep your eye on the prize.

How exciting for you. I am also getting ready to come to TV and originally from (what some call) south NJ. Enjoy this time and try not to let it make you too crazy. Somehow it all falls into place and in a while you will be in TV with the move behind you. Welcome. It's a great new, exciting beginning. We can't wait!

How cool is that! Good for you! I believe we are brave people and although it is paradise to me it's a big move! I can't be full time for awhile and knowing I'm getting closer everyday makes we work harder!

My Dad used to say, "you make your own party" and he's correct. People gravitate to positive forces and I couldn't be happier. Arriving May 23 for my quarterly visit to Gilchrist .. Thanks again God! :pepper2:

We are coming from Cherry Hill. I really appreciate all of your kind words.

The movers are coming in 29 days and my anxiety is through the roof. The worst are the garage and basement, both are filled with 44 years of junk plus lots of stuff from both sets of our parents, who are now passed away. I'm throwing most everything out but it's still not easy to go through all of it. I'm sure I'm telling you all something you know better than me.

Thanks for letting me rant. I can't wait for the beginning of June.

Mare.

Welcome
We got rid of tons of stuff when we moved in
Kept things that we "memories"
When we moved in, we got rid of more stuff
We're just finding we don't have the room for the things we thought we couldn't live without
I guess my point is, really really make sure you can't live without it

:pepper2:Welcome to TV! We are from the thriving megapolis of Turnersville, NJ! Been here since '06 and have loved every minute. We used the 5 second rule when we moved. If we couldn't decide where we would use it in TV within 5 seconds, it went into the trash, donate or "friends'" pile. Friends had 2 days to go through it and make a decision; otherwise, it was donated. Made the move ever so much easier and have not regretted it.

Best of Luck to both of you. Safe travels. My wife and I purchased a house in December and travel back and forth to NJ. We live in Mt Laurel and she is from Cherry Hill, loving our life in TV, filled with great and friendly people.

Welcome, we are also becoming full timers in June from South Jersey. Going back next week for closing and packing. It's a big decision but we know this is the place to be.
