My family doctor has to refer me to a gynecologist. I was thinking of going to Kathleen Steepy. Has anyone had any experience with her? Does anyone have experience with another gynecologist. I may need a hysterectomy, so this is very important!!!

Thank you.

She is wonderful. She was my doctor and surgeon 2 years ago. Very caring, thorough and professional woman. Very happy with her.

I went to her also till I changed my ins. and she did not accept mine. :( I drive to Crystal River to Dr. Rose Sobel because someone who had several surgeries goes to her and I am so glad I did. Love her and Seven Rivers Hospital. I had to have a procedure done and it was the very first time I have ever had surgery or been in a hospital all my life so I was scared. They were wonderful! I know it's a drive but a nice one and for my peace of mind it was worth it. That said Had Dr. Steepy taken my Tricare I would have stayed with her. Good luck to you!

Have been going to her practice for almost 10 years. I've never seen her. I can only get an appointment with her Nurse Practitioner. While the NP is good, it would be nice to be able to see the doc now and then. When I specifically ask to make an appointment to see the doc, I'm told no because I'm a patient of the NP's. Now that Dr. Steepy's practice is in with FSU, her rates have almost doubled. I know this because I have to self pay since I have such a deductible. I'm looking for a new lady doc now.

I have been going to her practice for a couple of years. She is supposedly my doctor, but I've never even met her. I haven't pushed it because I don't have any problems, but you would think she would at least have said hello on the first visit, or something. Maybe I'm just old fashioned.

Just to add.....I'm not saying this, in any way, reflects on her as a doctor. I did some research when I was looking and her name kept coming up as excellent.

Hope all goes well for you!!!!!
