I'm going to have a party at home. Undecided about the menu at the moment.
Haven't had much interest in the teams all year, but SS Sunday is always fun and usually a good game.
I still dream about the Joe Montana days with the 49ers. Can't really get too excited anymore with the teams and the players.
no interest this year sorry

Our neighborhood club, the steet name deleted Hooligans, will be toasting and throwing confetti streamers about the time of the Super Bowl kickoff. We're looking forward to a great time cruising in The Bahamas. Look for our picture in The Daily Sun.

English - If you liked the 49er offense don't you see lots of similarities with the Patriots and Tom Brady? Yesterday it was dink and dunk just like Joe M. 26 out of 28 with only 1 long ball.

Only watch if it is a close game and then usually only at the end. Does not matter much about the teams but did watch more of the game when the Niners were hot with Montana and I lived in Belmont, CA. That is about 8 miles from Stanford.
Did watch more of the Super Bowl too when the Tampa Bay Bucs won the SB when I lived in Palm Harbor and had a relative of the Tampa Bay staff-- John Idzik. He left for the Arizona Cards and is now with the Seahawks.
A personal connection seems to help with my getting interested in who is playing in the Super Bowl.

Could never understand the attraction of guys throwing a pointed ball and then falling on top of each other to retrieve it especially at the risk of bodily injury!!! but hey, what do I know, mabe theres something Im missing!
My mother at the age of 86 became a diehard bears fan. You dare not enter the room and disturb her when the bears were playing if you valued your life, so mabe theres still hope for me. ::)

Back in Cali, we'd all go to my friend's house and watch the game and eat her chili. She hated football but her ex loved the game. They divorced and we made her keep up the tradition. Now, no one I know here really likes football, so guess I'll go see what else there is to and harass Kathie. ;) Who knows, maybe I can get her to enjoy the game a bit. :a20:

that's my station in life - to make people and myself laugh!!!
Glad you liked it Barb. Red, I actually liked basketball better in the old days when the players wore those shorter shorts and they were tighter.... Wow!
Can't wait to be harassed by you in person. Yeah!!!!

In that case, my contribution to the party will be duct tape.

Before moving to TV I was usually obligated to attend a superbowl party for professional/social reasons. The games were usually endless, boring, and prolonged by countless stupid commercials.
This year I'll just ignore the game & its silly hype and watch a movie or read a book.

I will watch the game in the comfort of my home in TV and root for the NFC team (as I always do).

Not a football fan normally, but the Super Bowl I will watch. That is if the Pat's are playing.I'm a New England native and I will be one of those annoying people who only watch when there local team is in a championship game. ::) ::)
Nonie and Red..... lets party together and really drive each other crazy. :o :o

Better have it your place ... Kathie will play with your dog. And I'll bring some duct tape in case Kathie asks too many questions. ;) I'll root for anyone the Pats are playing (unless I get lucky and they lose this weekend). Sides, I have cats and Kathie's allergic. >:( Sadly, I don't think Nonie will be here. >:( >:( >:(

From a "late in life" Football convert..... I will watch regardless.... It goes without saying which team I'd like to see play/win but SBS has become a landmark as we decided to move to TV that day last year.

Nonie, Red and Beady: Since I'm only arriving Feb. 1, I'd like to have it at my house (or Golfnuts house, which I'm renting) but I'll go anywhere just to have the party. Was thinking if Brusters has a TV, maybe we could all go there and "pig out" on ice cream. Let's ask Patty and JohnZ. Otherwise, we'll all be sure to be together that day. Nonie will be in TV also. Can't wait.... 040 040 040
BTW, I'll bring the duct tape, Red, I'll make sure its the non-permanent adhesive type. Otherwise, I won't have to go for a facial waxing for many months, LOL

Kathie, I love ice cream and I adore football but ice cream parlors and football do not mix. Football needs chips, snacks, beer and recliners/comfie couches. We also have to be able to yell (yes, even bad words on really drastic occasions). Think back to being a kid -- could you imagine your dad being happy watching football in a place kidlings were not only welcome but expected?
Sure you wouldn't want to go to a house where there's doggies? At least you'd have something fun to do. ;)
