I can't speak of installers but I wish we had gone with granite instead of Silestone in our current home. I just think granite looks better. Our Silestone finish always seems to look dull. It requires nearly constant polishing to keep it looking nice.

Would like to know who anybody used and how your experience was?
Thank You.

I love our siles stone - this is the third home that we had it installed - Exquisite Designs - Tony 786-298-1320 did two of ours in TV - just clean with soap and water - no sealing - always looks great!

Hmmmm........interesting two completely different opinions, particularly about sealing. Best two out of three??? Anyone else?

I love our silestone! No sealing, no extra maintenance like granite. Looks great!

We are seriously thinking of having our granite replaced with Quartz and Silestone is a possibility.

Our granite has no extra maintenance. I don't get the extra maintenance thing. Our installer put a sealant on it that will last over 15 years. It doesn't stain--not even water marks darken it till it dries. The only maintenance is to clean it like any other countertop. It's hard as a rock (Ha-Ha) and doesn't get scratched, and you can put hot pots right down on it (but i don't). It's beautiful and different andworry-free, and nobody else has our particular design.

We used Wildwood kitchen and they were fantastic. Mike, the sales person was wonderful. Roman, installed our Cambria Quartz and he did a great job. He came to measure, then installed the next week. Plumber came at 4 and dropped in the sink. Came at 9AM, were finished by 4. Wildwood also carries Silestone.
We have had both quartz and granite. Both, are great. But, IMO Quartz is less maintenance. After cooking, I would always have to clean all my granite because it looked greasy. Quartz, not so much. Both the installer and plumber are employees of Wildwood, no sub-contractors was important in our decision. And their price was right in line with the 2 other quotes we received. We even put in a small island which matches our cabinet.
