Thinking of installing seat belts in our golf cart. Anyone know of some one that installs them and cost? Thank You

Call Lou. I would guess the costs would be 150 to 175. He will install them at your place. He also does windshield screens. $20

Has anyone looked at the installation of these belts? Neighbor just has some installed for 125 dollars. A piece of angle 1 inch aluminum was what was bolted to the cart with 1/4 inch bolts (very small if you don't know bolts) and the seat belts were ones you could buy for 10 dollars at the auto parts store. I wouldn't strap my dog in with those. does anyone look at how these are installed, or does no one care about their safety. Its obvious the installer does not care about your safety, just putting belts in your cart.

Purchased seat belts for 1998 and 2008 Yamaha golf carts on line from Buggies Unlimited and installed myself. Two retractable belts with mounting frame run around $60 plus tax/shipping. However, big difference in configuration between these two carts because seat backs are so different. Before you purchase any on line suggest you go to one of the Squares at Happy Hour and look at carts similar to yours with seat belts. That will give you an idea of what can be done. Also, talk to owners and ask how easy they are to put on.

I bought my seat belts which were not retractable for about $35. from The Villages Golf Cart store. They came with bolts that if I remember correctly were about 3/8 or 7/16 and went into existing holes for the steel roof supports. They are plenty strong enough considering we're only traveling 20 mph and the belts are only to hold you in from coming out of the cart.
I agree, 1/4 bolts into aluminum isn't what I'd want.
I should add that this was a Yamaha cart and probably wouldn't be the same on other brands.

I have a club car precident - went to Villages Golf Cart store and was told they cannot install seat beats on this model. There is no bar behind seat to attach belts. They said they were working on a fix for this model and also EZ Go carts. Does anyone have seat belts in a precident and where did you get them done?
