Snopes says the email circulated was a mixture of true & false. Goes back to 2012. Wonder why the tv network didn't clarify that..............Oh I see it was Fox News.

Actually, Bogie, I believe this YouTube video is dated in December of 2012.

Political? How so?
I would think it is because your assumption that Fox News would get it wrong could be because of a belief that Fox is a Conservative news outlet.
This invites a response about the liberal slant of the three broadcast networks and the cable outlets of CNN and MSNBC.
The subject of requiring gasoline supplements leads to a discussion of the very controversial subject of "man-made global warming" which is quite political.
"Talk of the Villages does not allow any discussion or reference to politics. This would include but not be limited to reference(s) to a political party, political individual, or political topic. Moderators and Administrators retain the right to use their discretion and any politically related or implied thread or post will be removed. If a user continues to disregard this rule then the user account will be issued infractions/suspension."
Just a guess.

Not to mention that a warning is not necessary if you have ever put ethanol containing gas in a boat motor or motorcycle. The stuff craps out and plugs up carbs and will eat various manmade materials. It is also quite hygroscopic pulling moisture into your tank.
As an aside, it is now finally acknowledged that bio ethanol is more polluting than gasoline. We have been exploited again! Billions of our dollars have gone down the government engineered toilet in the form of subsidies and tax credits to ram down our throats an economically unsustainable alternative energy.

Geologists tell us that the Arctic ice cap used to extend down to what is now Kansas.
I don't think that it was man-made global warming that made the ice cap recede.
The earth has a history of cooling and warming cycles which were not caused by the activity of mankind.
The whole issue is an attempt by politicians to control our lives.

As I understand it that was when the earth Cycle around the sun goes elliptic or severe oval shape. course the further away from the sun the colder the earth gets. I don't know how they are going to stop that by taxing?
Bio-diesel not bad fuel IMO, Don't see that black smoke from buses, tractors, or 18 wheeler's anymore. I don't understand why propane hasn't taken off. Burns clean and don't dirty up internals of the engine like gasoline. Supposedly we has the largest natural gas deposits in the world?

I believe the pump will be labeled similar to the ones that are there now that indicate the amount of ethanol that may be included in the fuel.
With all the problems that occurred in small engines with 10% ethanol, E15 should have been DOA.

Where's Bill Nye when you need him?
Bill Nye became a "science guy" as a persona for Disney for entertainment. His degree is in mechanical engineering, not earth science.
To answer your question, he was last seen a while back on Dancing With The Stars. Didn't make it to the finals.
For a discussion of how ethanol in your gasoline can damage your engine, read the Popular Mechanics discussion at E15 and Engines - Can Ethanol Damage my Engine - Popular Mechanics (http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/alternative-fuel/biofuels/e15-gasoline-damage-engine)
It's very evenhanded, with no wild claims.
Ethanol is alcohol. Alcohol attracts moisture. Moisture damages engines.

Thanks. My 2005 Audi A4 suffered great engine problems unless you pretty much hand-made your own gasoline in your private Cuisinart food processor. Now I wonder if it was an ethanol problem. (However, that car was a bit of a lemon...)
Hopefully E10 will still be available somewhere. What a rock and a hard place to be between--the congressional measures passed without regard to the public--the public and its cars--the car manufacturers and their refusal to honor the car's warranty.
I believe that's called a double bind. As usual, the consumer takes the hit.

The energy that is WASTED to produce this fuel is unreal. The waste of water alone should stop production.
