Anyone have any recent experience with the Nova water filtration system? Was there a noticeable difference in your water?
We moved to TV last December and decided to wait and see how we liked the water after a few months. We still have not gotten used to the chlorine smell and lime build up around faucets, so we are looking for a good whole house filter system. The house we had in MA was on its own well and the water was great, so maybe we're a little spoiled. I really don't want to spend the money on a water softener because they don't filter the water, or eliminate the chlorine smell - plus they can be expensive to maintain (been there, done that before in another house in MA).
Thanks.

We have a Pegasus Water System, and love it! No smell, clean taste, no maintenance...clean dishes and utensils, no build up around faucets, etc. PM me for more info, or call Robert Flink, 352-748-7873, for a demonstration. Well worth the $$$.

We bought a Sears Hybrid when we moved in. Recommended by a Dr.
Our water is soft and taste GREAT!
They are on sale now for $600.
It gets high ratings!

We have a Nova Filtration System and love it. Prior to the Nova system, we had a water softener. When the resin tank went belly up and started depositing resin in our water system, out it went and Nova was installed.
Mike did the installation, took a little time, but not beyond his abilities. You can pay to have it installed if you wish....not terribly expensive and it will save you time.
With the Nova system, our drinking water is wonderful...no funny or chlorine taste or smell. We have no difficulty with soap, detergents, or shampoo sudsing. We are still using the original filters installed last July. Pressure gauges that are part of the installation will show when filtration is diminished and the filters need to be replaced.
I am sure there are many systems available that do a good job, but I am really happy with our Nova system and recommend it highly.

I agree with Pooh. Installed ours the same time Mike did (even compared notes) and it works great. If you have experience with PVC and CPVC, you can do it.....otherwise have Bob install it.

We also have the Nova system and love the results. Water tastes like spring water and no odors. I am not a fan of softened water, and the hardness here is moderate at worst. It is actually softer than the good quality municipal water we had in upstate New York.

Add a Purewash system to your washer also. No more soap, bleach or hot water.

Thanks everyone. Since I have never tried working with PVC pipes, I will contact Bob about installing the system. The other ideas were great - thanks - but I prefer a smaller system.

I had my Nova system installed a few weeks ago and I'm totally happy. No more chlorine smell or off taste. Clothes and dishes are cleaner. Tea and coffee taste better. Sorry I waited as long as I did.

Take a look at this thread: https://www.talkofthevillages.com/forums/water-filtration-systems-311/nova-water-filtrations-68945/
There is good info there as well as Bob's phone number. Just so you know..... I spoke with him yesterday to schedule the installation and he told me that he will be leaving around the first week in June for a couple months. You may have to get on his list for when he returns.

We have Nova, installed in October. IMHO just what you need in TV. The water has a balanced PH (ours is 7.2), marginally hard but not an issue.

As soon as we moved to The Villages my wife noticed that water irritated her face. She had to wash her face with bottled water. We had Bob install his water filtration system on our house and no more problem. The water tastes better, smells better and doesn't irritate skin. The installation was absolutely first class and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend it.

Saw your web page with purchase and install cost. Thank you. Could you also provide a link with the system specifications including the filters size, type , micron levels, filter replacement ordering/cost per filter type. Thank again
