Crosby got his tan belt in karate at the vet today. Believe it or not, he's healing. It's just hard to keep that surgery site on the belly covered. New stitch added today.

Awwww poor Crosby. He doesn't look very happy. What happened?
I remember when our dogs had to wear those cones and they hated them. They would scratch at it and roll on the ground trying to get it off.
I thought I read on one of your post he was 90lbs but he sure doesn't look like it. Hope he heals quickly.

He's long and tall with a really deep chest. But Florida has put a couple of pounds on all of us. He used to be 86 lbs. I used to be... well, never mind.
It was just a fatty tumor on his belly that needed to come off because it was getting bigger. But it's in such a difficult location, right where he plops down, and he ripped a stitch, and yadda yadda. Amazingly he doesn't care about the cone. Or the wrap, or the jammies. The vet says he's a ridiculously happy dog, and we are grateful for that!

..he probably likes having you in the floor fussing over him..what is left for him to wear come Halloween?
btw sometimes the weight of cones irritates the skin on the neck...

Crosby, sweet boy, I'm glad it's healing and I hope you're de-coned soon. They are annoying. Meanwhile, he does look pretty in blue. Maybe a blue bandana though.

Thanks, Kitty, I'm keeping an eye on that. He has so much hair (fur?). The double coat is serving him well right now, but we're watching out.
And "we" got an extra egg with "our" trifexis this morning.
