"Red Lobster is headed into a private equity turnaround. Darden Restaurants (DRI) said it would sell the seafood chain for $2.1 billion, jettisoning a dented brand that was beset by high costs and an early-bird special demographic—not the kind of casual diners who eat out often and spend heavily on cocktails."

Saw this on CNBC a couple of days ago and was a little surprised. Darden owns olive Garden and Longhorn restaurants too. A lot of times, where you see Red Lobster you also see an Olive Garden.
You have to wonder what they will do next and how this will affect their stock?

Over the years Red Lobster has tried to become everyone's seafood house....and they were usually always busy....and they continued to raise prices.....and wandered out of their niche....too pricey for the venue!!
for a very few dollars more one can eat at Bonefish.....NO CONTEST!!

Gee, I got a thread pulled for saying 110 St Grille was closed. Administrator, what is fair?

The steam pot they copied off of Joe's Crab shop is good.

Red is the color of embarrassment. For all the high prices, it's sad that only about one item on the menu was not farm raised. That was information from the manager.
