New to TV, can anyone recommend great reliable & reasonable property managers to help rent our home?

We rented for a few months while we looked for a house to buy. The property manager was Tom Jones at JD&V Property Management, and he was very responsive and a really good guy to work with. We never used him as an owner, but I would give him a call.

We've had rental property in the Outer Banks for 15 years and wouldn't consider managing them ourselves. The Villages is very different. Have you considered having a Home Watch oversee the property when your guests are in the house? You would be responsible for advertising the property, collecting the money, and paying the taxes. **** and villages4rent are the 2 places we advertise. Within 6 hours of posting on ****, January, February, and March 2015 were booked.

In March 2014 we made the decision to manage our own property in The Villages. We've found Lighthouse Home Watch to oversee the property. They clean between guests, check for any damage, make the beds, and our guests have their number if there's an issue with the property. They are on call 24/7. We're in PA and can't be in FL, but we're hands on owners and that is something not all management company's like to work with. They have their rules and once you sign the contract, it in essence becomes their property.
