Paula and I will be renting in The Villages January-March 2015, just off the Silver Lake Executive Golf Course. If there are any WVU Mountaineers fans, I'd like to meet them. I've had season football tickets for decades and am a 1954 WVU Schoolof Journalism grad. Thank you. We look forward to our second stay at The Villages.

Well, that still makes her a West Virginian if she was born in the state. I'd welcome a get-together. I promise not to mention that Marshall has never beaten WVU in football. :D

There is WV club here in TV. I haven't been to any meetings but I believe you can find info in the rec news on Thursdays.
Go mountaineers!

Jennifer, my wife, is a WV native - she grew up in Big Chimney. I moved to Chareston in 1987 and was based there until 2005. Let us know when you are in town.

I lived in Charleston for 10 years on Kanawha Blvd and Greenbrier, 4 houses from the capital. I loved the years spent there as the state is beautiful and friendly people. A lot of good memories and long lasting friendships were made there.
I'll check into the WV club when we arrive.

I was a sportswriter for the Charleston Daily Mail in the 1950s. Our first child was born in McMillan Hospital, which I think no longer exists. We lived in North Hill and Kanawha City. Great city, Charleston. So is the other Charleston that Paula and I visited, in South Carolina.
I look forward to meeting Mountaineers when Paula and I spend January through March in 2015 in The Villages, just off the No. 2 hole in the Silver Lake Executive Course. I'm bringing two sets of golf clubs, in case someone wants to join me on one of the 47 courses.

Thanks for the replies. Maybe there'll be more Mountaneers showing up on TOTV by, say, December. I even have golf balls with "WV" on them.

Take me home, country roads, to The Villages were I may belong some day!
