I know how to "ignore" certain posters but can I block certain threads? ie anything with Dogs,Bicycles on Golf cart paths.(er multimodal paths). Roundabouts.and how things were" where I came from."

I suggest don't open the thread. Most have a heading that warns you of the content. Otherwise, I don't know if you can ignore whole threads based on a key word.

Are you aware that if you are logged in you can put the cursor over the title of the thread and the first sentence of the post can be read?

Between seeing the title and the first sentence you should be able to decide whether or not to open the thread.

But, as rubicon says, if you eliminate all the subjects you mentioned, about all you read will be things for sale.

The short answer is, you can't block threads.

Put your cursor over the thread and you can read some of it. If you don't like the thread, just don't go there.

After a while, you will get a feel for some posters who may be negative, and you may avoid responding, to their opinions.
