This is very good news and long overdue.
Now only if other stores will do the same.

yeah, my dog was one who got sick and died from those chicken jerky strips from China. I now scrutinize everything...dog bowls, toys, etc. I buy nothing for my dogs made in China.

Why is this starting all over again??? They were pulled from all store shelves, but started slowly creating onto shelves again. I never heard that they were ok to sell again. Please check all jerky treats! Now more dogs are getting sick and all dog owners have to be diligent and buy only those made in USA. SAMs is again selling the "made in China" treats also.

I check my doggie's treats as well. No China treats! As for me, fish and shrimp are two items I am absolutely NOT going to buy if they are from China.

it is obvious it does not matter to an awful lot of people......that is the ONLY reason ANY establishment stocks and sells this garbage.

Until that changes ours is a lone cry in the wilderness.....like too many other things these days!

Unfortunately, that was our experience too up north. Tragic and outrageous.

Also watch out for any raw hide chew bones - only US made.
Non US made have reputation for disintegrating into splinters.

Problem was the treats did not identify that the food particles were from China--part from China, part from U.S….. now the FDA is pulling all off---the ingredients you had to look for I believe were duck, chicken and sweet potato….. those were suspicious. And I believe it was jerky treats…. now that I know even some food particles can be from China and not id'd on package… not buying any treats….

Like Bonnie, I buy no food or treats for my two dogs that are made in China.

Do you mind telling me your dogs symptoms? We gave our dog the chicken jerky from Waggin Tails for several years. He now at 7 1/2 has a very hard to control diabetes. I wonder if the jerky damaged his pancreas. I haven't been able to determine just what symptom it causes.

my dog stopped eating....and for Twister that was a major sign--oddly he still would eat those horrible jerky strips. He went into renal failure and developed a condition known as fanconi syndrome which is rare outside of certain breeds. Symptoms are excessive drinking, excessive urination, and glucose in the urine. those symptoms are also associated with diabetes. I will never forgive myself for giving him those things--I did not know the FDA issued a warning about them. Even my vet didn't know that. The FDA has been testing them but can not find a definitive cause and the Chinese plants won't allow an inspection. Because of their inability to find a cause, the FDA can only issue a warning and they do so because of the many similar complaints filed against the strips.
