I went to Dr Upadya for awhile. My primary dr suggested I change to Dr Albino. He is good but I don't have all day to sit and wait for him. He even posts a notice in his office that if you can't wait awhile ( up to 3 hours) for him to find another dr. I called Dr Upadya to go back to her, but she wouldn't take me since I had gone to someone else! I have never heard such before!!:cryin2:

Now, I am saying this generally, and not specifically about you::::I can't think of any reason any physician would take back a patient who had changed to another doctor. If a patient isn't happy with them to start with , they probably won't be any happier the second time. Plus if patients ever started switching back and forth, it would eventually compromise their health care-doctors would have to change the patients meds back to the routine they follow, and start over with treatment plans that they follow. Very time consuming and expensive. Plus , when you leave a doctor, you are essentially telling them that you don't care for them, or the way they take care of you--those (and again, I am being general) are the patients who are potential lawsuits. I have seen patients who write down EVERYTHING, and will tell you to your face, that they are doing it in case they ever want to sue. And these are people you have never seen before. Again, this is all general thoughts.

Sounds strange. Why did your pcp want you to switch from dr upadya. Since she's a pulmonologist, didn't you need a referral from your pcp to see her originally. And if he did want you to switch, what reason did he give you. She is a board certified pulmonologist and I believe her credentials are outstanding. I seem to remember her diploma said Yale medical school. Also, when you left dr. Upadya, what was the reason you gave her. And lastly, why don't you just find another doctor. They run their own businesses and are under no obligation to take you as a patient, especially after you "fired" her. I don't think we are hearing the entire story here.

Dr. Upadya is my Pulmonologist and I find her to be an excellent doctor. Did you ask your PCP why? I would go back to my PCP to find the reasoning for his request.
