I join TOTV daily and read the replies sent in that day. It is really informative to read other peoples responses, and the new topics are interesting. What makes this difficult is that some of the topics have way too many replies. When you have to sift through, sometimes over 30, replies it is hard to keep up with the topic. I don't have an answer too this dilemma, but after maybe 30 replies, we can agree on how to solve the problem.

I tend to answer early and read for a day or two and move on to other topics. The folks out there are very sharp and you get plenty of information.

Recommend you just set your own rules that works for you.

Aw c'mon, gemorc,

Wasn't there some guy who told Mozart there were too many notes?

btw I did not say the above in the snippy tone it appears to be. I am glad you are here and I am glad you give your opinions.

I skip over most of the topics. I think a lot of us do that.

There are topics that fizzle and topics that go on for a bit and topics that interest only a few and topics that resurrect and resurrect and resurrect.

It's a natural process.

--and even though this is the only board I am on, so I have no real means of comparison, I have to think the admin must be doing a great job of monitoring. That's the other thing that makes TOTV work - at least for me.

Now, I must be off. :) I have to get back to the lengthy, lingering vinyl siding topic that I love.

Some of the other boards I frequent have topics that go on for more than 500 pages. :o

During November and December of 2007 I had unlimited time to participate in/on TOTV but since the first of the year I've had limited time to be involved. There is always something interesting to read even if it is a "rehash" of a topic. Sometimes I will revisit a topic that I haven't followed in months... some are dead but others may revive.

I can always find something to fit my mood; old, new, hot, cool, lurk or jump in with both feet.

if it's an interesting topic, I read it all,
if I've already read it and it's long, I read from the bottom up LOL
