Perhaps this idea is already part of this forum.
Perhaps it is not possible, but I would like to know if there is a way to search for a post on this Forum, that one has previously read and would like to refer back to, without going through every page.
If it is not searchable now, could the Talk Hosts incorporate that feature?
There is so much good info here, it would be nice to reference it without laborious and extensive search time.

There is a search button which goes through the forum. It is the sixth button from the left on the top just under the Talk of the Villages Your Online Community Connection logo.
I use it quite a bit since I have around 1224 posts and often edit them or at least check on their content's currency.

Susan/Tom, another way to find what you're looking for is to find a post by someone who you know posted to a specific thread that you're looking for. If you click on that person's name, the profile will open. One of the options there is to look at recent posts by that person. So far as I can tell, it pretty much lists all of their threads. I've used this when I couldn't remember the title or specific phrasing of a thread so that a search just wasn't practical.
Hope Tal's and my tip helps.

Thank you Taltarzac. I was hoping for this capability. It works great. Now I can point things out to my other half easier.

You are welcome. Red's suggestion works too if you are familiar with what some posters have done in the past. JohnZ's posts, for instance, can be really funny and thoughtful and have been for quite some time.

...and thank you Red. I am learning all kinds of cool ways to do things today. I tried both ways and they both work for me.

Thanks.
Also, after you click that Search button up there you have another option.
Below the dialogue box where you enter your search term are the words "Advanced Search."
Click those words and you will get a bigger dialogue box into which you can add data to further refine your search.
Try it.
Here's a squirrelly exercise.
I posted in an out of the way place.
Use the advanced search to go take a look.

Okay, Tony, I did it, clicked the second option just under the first, typed in various words you said like "out of the way" or "squirrelly excercise", your name...it all just led me back here to your 5:35pm post.
What did I miss?
P.S. I can barely read the Advanced Options on my screen as it is written in white against pale gray. I had missed that option before.
