We have a group planning a cruise on MSC Davina.
As usual I was doing my homework and found what I consider too many negative comments about the ship and service.

I am also not very happy the bookings are being handled by Legendary Journeys travel agent which has a very bad reputation from previous threads here on TOTV.
I usually book our cruises with the cruise lines directly....they are the experts!

If it were not that friends were going I would not give the cruise line or the agency a second thought.....there are too many good cruises.

Any comments/experiences, good/bad would be appreciated.

Check out cruisecritic.com. There all kinds of reviews on there for most all of the ships plus they tell you what to expect for food, other passengers, etc. It's an all around great site for anything about cruising. You can hook up with other passengers going on the same cruise as well.

We went on Davina recently. Here are my thoughts. Fantastically over the top glitzy public areas. Poor service, crew is multinational and does not understand basic questions, (where is purser office )

Davina also has poor quality dinners and cafeteria choices. Service is slow in dinning room and getting waiter to fix ,change and correct order is nerve racking. With that said we did have a fun time, pools are small but many of them ,music and shows are Vegas class, do not miss Witches.
We danced at several venues . The Social directors spoke several languages and helped if you could find them. Terrible library, if you can call it that. Yummy gelato & specialty coffees. At night many places on deck to be alone with the starry sky. Rooms are large ,so are closets and storage. Tiny showers.Bring your own bath, hair lotions etc as there's is generic quality. One gets a bit lost finding dinning areas pay attention to signs! Emergency life drill is inside various areas, bring your jacket find a seat early as drill is in 4-5 languages!! Plus point ,,soft music,no constant PA messages,no barrage of what is going on around ship.
Hope this helps....make it fun ,by attitude

I saw the Davina in port at Miami last time I cruised. It was docked right next to our ship, Celebrity Rendezvous.

Personally, I would NOT use any ship that was booked for a cruise by Legendary Journeys.
