Well, I remembered more than I care to admit. Movie stars' pics on Dixie cups? Now, that I DON'T remember! There were a couple of others I didn't remember, but I don't remember what they were. And why didn't mention drive-in movies?

Ok Ok I'll admit it , I do remember Movie Stars on Dixie Cups ...BUT..they weren't on the cups , the pic's were on the lids. You had to peel a thin sheet of protective paper of the underside of the lid to see the picture
There now, are you happy ...You made me admit it..

Fumar, if you're old as dirt, then the dirt is pretty dang young! Your pic belies your statement.
I just figure the things I don't remember are because we weren't in the States at that time. Works for a lot of things!

OMG, I'm as old as fumar??? Gee, not good.
Of course I remember the movie stars pictures on the dixie cup lids, we used to collect them and were so mad that James Dean died before they could get his picture on the lids.
That was really coool Muncle. I think I found one error in the link, however, in the picture of a hand with a senior ring on it, our nails were never manicured straight across with rounded edges, but as pointy as we could get. And the polish color, was white pearl... to match our white lipstick, ugh!! We were crazy in those days.
Does anyone out there agree with me??

I had forgotten about white lipstick and white nail polish. What were we thinking!!!!
Also ,in the not so bright category, did anyone else mix baby oil and iodine together as their suntan oil. I did and then spent hours roasting(literally) at the beach. No wonder we all are supporting the dermatologists. ::) ::)

Yep, roasted away on the NJ beaches basted in my iodine and baby oil. My sister and I joke that that is the mixture our Thanksgiving turkeys need.

Did anyone else have a potato gun? It was a little air pistol and we fired bits of raw potato at each other.
A bunch of 7 year olds running around with a toy gun in one hand and a raw potato in the other. We would jam the barrell of the gun into the potato and then shoot at each other.
I imagine I must have smelled great when I got home on those South Carolina August days covered in raw potato.

RockyBanks,,
Fuuny, I dont remember potato guns from back then but my grandkids have them now and have a ball with them. We bought them at a childrens nature store. They absolutely love shooting each other and US with them. Some things are timeless!
