Barb,
I think your link goes back to the 2005 celebration; in today's paper, there was a full page announcement of the festivities for this year and no mention of a parade. I don't recall a parade last year either. We shall see.

Looks like lots of things are happening for Mardi Gras. Both squares have a full "party" planned from 5-9. Food booths , entertainment etc. No mention of a parade.
Decorating a golf cart would certainly work. Let's go for it. It wouldn't take much more than crepe paper and beads to fancy up a cart. A big TOTV sign and we are in business, and ready to party. :hot: :hot:
Wish we could find a king cake, oh my, those are good. Anyone know if there is a source for the cake around here? 040 040

For what it's worth:
If you have a link to the Newsletter that the Villages Sales people sent out, the January one had a link to the January Villages Magazine. If you bring that up and go to that link you will see a date of /0108 there. If you change the 01 to 02 you will see the February Villages Magazine. I wont post the link because there is advertising for The Villages on there but for the computer literate who have kept favorites just a heads up.
Why in this thread you might ask? There are photos of past Mardi Gras celebrations in TV there. :joke:
