I would have another beagle in a heartbeat if we had a fenced yard. Had one growing up. He was the best dog, but boy could he bolt.

I understand you hear them a lot barking at night?

Someone dumped a beagle up the street a few years ago, I believe the guy who picked it up eventually adopted it when Sumter County Animal Control could not find an owner. No chip?

A friend sent me a picture like that but this one if posted we a bit offensive to women. I think you can imagine what kind of picture this was. I do like that picture that the OP put up.

Ours wasn't a barker, but he was an indoor pet. A lot of people keep beagles for hunting, and they tend to keep them outside in kennels, and then you get the barking.

This is our 10 lb Biggins playing tug-of-war with our 70lb Lollipop.
Lolli lies down so it's a fair match.
They adore each other.
