I got brave and went and had permanent makeup done on eyebrows and eye liner. Kim at Dr Blumber's office did it and I can't tell you how wonderful it is to not have to put on makeup.

Ladies, if you have been thinking about it, take it from me, it is a piece of cake.

Thanks Diva Kay. I was wondering if anyone used Kim and how it went. I am planning on having my eyebrows done. Was it painful?

Kim did my eyebrows a few weeks ago and they are fabulous. $350 for eyebrows.
They were very dark for the first week, then faded into my natural color. No pain.
Kim is fabulous. You do have to get touch ups every 18 months.

Vicky at "Wax Me By Lasting Looks" did my liner and brows. I love it. I paid $225 for each, but that was a special. I think the regular price is $300 each. I am planning to have my lips done, too. I hesitate because Vicky doesn't like to do full lipstick, just liner. She swears I will like it, but not comfortable with just liner. Has anyone else done that??

Yes it does fade. The procedure is in two visits six weeks apart. Then you need touch up in a couple of years. Using anti-aging products will speed up the fade, so I try to keep my face creams, etc. away from my brows and liner area.

It is a tattoo, a needle going dot dot dot dot dot laying down the color. It takes several passes with the needle to get enough color. Each pass opens up the skin a a little more, so the numbing lotion can get deeper into the skin, however.......

Eyeliner hurt like HELL!!! Anyone who says it doesn't is a tougher woman than I. The brows didn't really hurt, just a couple of little stings.

Casita, sounds like you will think twice before you have the eyeliner re-done.

I will have to think hard on this because that is all I want done...the eyeliner I mean.

True, I might think twice, but I really do like it, and it only takes about half an hour, and it's not constant pain, so.....who knows. Plus, everyone's pain threshold is different. Go for it!! It might not be nearly as bad for you, but it will hurt. I don't know about Kim, or anyone else who does it, but Vicky is very frank about the pain and she talks, jokes, etc. while doing the procedure, putting you more at ease.

I only planned on eye liner, too, but Vicky talked me into the brows. She painted the brow line on so I could see what she wanted to do. It looked so good, I went for it. Glad I did.

My wife did not care for the color of my lips so I have to go back and get it redone!
