I have a wonderful cream leather recliner sofa that I love but the controls on one side no longer work. It's about 2 or 3 years old. The electric cords are not loose. I don't know what type of person to call for help because I can't tell if it's an electrical or mechanical problem. Any suggestions?

I would start by calling the store where you purchased it. Many mechanisms on furniture are guaranteed for life. We've had our Lane furniture mechanisms replaced before with no charge.

The first thing to check is if that outlet is operated by a switch on the wall that has been accidently turned off. My wife does it to me all the time.

Call Bill Skory, the Chairman, at (352) 617-5051.

We had an expensive old leather chair with a broken recliner. He came out, determined what part was needed, then came back and installed it. Voilá it works like new and still does. I don't recall what he charged, but I think it was very reasonable.

Call Rael Furniture, they advertise on TOV. 352-638-7895. They are Village residents and fixed our reclining love seat. Very nice and do great work.
