Odor is coming from one of the sinks in the master bath. Have cleaned out both J-traps. Any other suggestions?
Thanks,

We had the same issue with both sinks in our master bathroom. I finally disassembled everything between the sinks and the pipe going into the floor. I found a thick brown smelly substance in the connections between the sinks and the traps. Cleaned them out the best I could, then ran the parts through the dishwasher before reassembling them. Problem solved.

Could be the Studor vent.

What does Studor air vent do that the roof stack vent doesn"t

A Studor vent allows air into the pipe, but not out. Unless it's failing, letting sewer gases out into the room. I was unaware that Studors were allowed by code, usually they are a homeowner "fix" (here in NC, anyhow).

When you opened the p-traps were they full of water, or only half full? There could be a blockage in your main stack which when a toilet is flushed or a tub drained it pulls water out of your traps due to suction (lack of makeup air).

We had the same problem, so I called the warranty office and she said before they send someone out try this...Pour one cup of bleach in sink and pull up the stopper for one hour, then after the hour release stopper and flush with hot water. In the beginning I did this once a month in both sinks in the master bathroom, now after a year I only do it every other month or just when I feel it is needed.
