I had three strange occurrences that happened around the same time during today's storm, and the storm ain't over yet!

One, our Cable X1 TV box rebooted on it's own.
Two, our Bose radio tried ejecting a CD on it's own at the same exact time, no CD in it!
Third, I unplugged my laptop, continued to use it by battery, then when I plugged it back in about a half hour later the battery indicator showed that I still had 100% of the charge on it.

Anyone else have strange things happen during the storm or did anyone happen to see the ghost of Rod Serling hanging out around The Villages? http://www.4smileys.com/smileys/scared-smileys/fear_smiley.gif

I lost Comcast Internet for about 10 minutes here in Mallory, although some Comcast haters will not think having Comcast issues is strange :1rotfl:

Your two and three seem strange. Maybe a little power "brown out"? I am way over my head talking about AC electric ....

Here in Sanibel, our power blinked off and on twice. The clocks had to be reset. We ended up unplugging computer and TV's after that. Now, at 6:13 we have powered everything back up again. Who knows? Maybe we will have to unplug everything g again before the nights over. And, this is the third evening we've had to cancel our golf game!

Interesting, Sky, we had something strange happen also. Mike was in the living room watching TV, I was in our bedroom working on my iPad, TV on. Suddenly, both tvs went out, as did the clock, cable box and DVD player in the bedroom and the TV, DVD player and cable box in the living room. Still had electricity, Internet and phone, but no tvs in these two rooms. TV sets in the front room and guest room were working. After checking the breakers and a little sleuthing, Mike determined that the surge protectors the electronics were plugged into had tripped. After resetting both surge protectors, we checked the TV on the lanai, also plugged into a surge protector....it had tripped also. I can't really say if the lights flickered because the TV suddenly shutting off makes a sort of "flash."

They ran all of us customers out of the Pinellas Winn Dixie because the power fluttered. They told me anytime the power does that it goes out about ten minutes later and they wanted to get everybody checked out before that. I grabbed a rotisserie chicken, wine and the latest Enquirer, so I was golden, power or no power when I got home.

Now, I think I can blame some bizarre tech happenings on the storms. For at least a week my land line is connecting to the fax machine on my 3 in 1 printer, scanner, fax. I didn't know it 'til yesterday. If you called my land line, my message doesn't come on but the screeching of a fax will. Funny thing, it's never been set up to receive incoming faxes!! So now, I had to figure out how to totally disengage the fax. That's done, I believe, but my outgoing message is gone also.! Then when I'm in the office, I sometimes hear the printer moving it's insides as though it's printing or scanning something. And I'm not doing anything but working on the computer. Any Ghostbusters in The Villages ??? !
