They are building some villas in Bonita (or it could be Hemingway); ranches in Amelia; lots of other areas with major clearing going on (like west of Poinciana); still lots of new designers in Hadley

My new Patio Villa in Duval has a Trane heat Pump and the description for appliances was similar to what I see in Hadley. No gas in sight.

We close on a Havana Trail home on the 19th. It's all electric as were the other designers we were shown. One did have a propane tank to support the summer kitchen grill, the spa and the gas fireplace. Did not ask what the capacity was. Worried that we would always be calling to have it filled.

It would have to if there are no gas lines.

Hadley is all electric using Heat Pumps. No gas exists in this area. Since the weather rarerly drops below freezing they work great and save $$$$.
You won't see any more natural gas in TV.

I'm just curious about the bonds in some of the newer villages. Someone said they're $27,000. I don't know if that's fact or just urban legend.

I'm curious why there's no more natural gas in new construction?

Amelia Village is still building homes with natural gas.

We live in Bonita and have gas heat, dryer and stove. The ARE homes being built in Bonita at this time.

I was told that gas was not available below lower Odell Circle, which is why Duval pond side has gas and pool side does not-- most exhisting houses inside the Odell/Bailey circle have gas as an option, but few new houses outside the circle have gas. For what it's worth, we find that the electric cost is very reasonable compared to Illinois.
We are looking to buy in Hemingway and it will be all electric.

Bonita is north of O'Dell Circle. We have gas, and homes are being built here.

My guess is that new construction being built with only electric may have something to do with profit margin.
The developer has to run electric service to every house. Gas would be an additional cost that would not be necessary.
I actually prefer all electric, although gas stoves sure are nice.

We just purchased in Hadley and it is an all-electric home. We are perfectly fine with that concept.
