Can anyone provide an estimated value for an Edison disc phonograph BC34. In working order. Original except for fabric in front of speaker. Also prices for records.

.....was that available for sale at that price ...
.....or was that an appraisers' bid to purchase from the seller ?
"e-Bay" has a few nice ones for sale from $1200 to $1500 in
good condition.....
....also..eBay has the records records going for $6 to $25 each.
There is a not so nice one with a "starting" bid of $400....
...who knows what it would go for after all bids are in.
Wonder why the differences from appraisal site.?

To me, the ebay pricing often represents someones "dream" price. What I look at on ebay is what similar items sold for in the past. As a seller, that seems to help
Good example, LP records (like those us seniors used to buy/play). I see them on ebay for $4 to $10 a piece and then I see them at a hundred garage sales for 50 cents and no one buys them
Just my opinion though

The only useful value when looking at something on EBay, is from the sold listings. Quoting values from a for sale listing is not what the item is worth.
