Hello, I am a new Villager as of this June 27th , (so happy!) and was hoping someone could direct me to a reputable person or business that could install a screen door on my front door. I don't want to get taken for a ride!
Thank you,
Sue

You might try these. We bought from Lowe's but Phantom installed them. They are invisible screen doors.

I had T&D Screen Enclosures install the screen enclosure over the entry way to my front door. T&D creates the enclosures for most, if not all, of the new homes in The Villages. The quality of their work is always outstanding. The screen door hardware is also excellent. You can Google the name for their number.

We bought a Larson brand screen door from Lowes and had their installers come and install. The door is high quality and the installers were very professional.

We had a Phantom screen door in our previous house and it was wonderful.

One caveat, however . . .
If you have pets, forget it.
They can crawl through the screening from underneath.

Brian Terry Vinyl & Aluminum, located very close to TV at 35326 Micro Racetract Rd., just off of 466A. It's a family owned business and has a perfect record with the Better Business Bureau. It's very easy to stop there and see samples and get more information.

Michelle's Hideaway Screens did ours six years ago and it is still looks great. They had colors that matched our door and you don't even notice it unless it is pulled shut.

Another vote for Michelles. Does not work if you have a dog.

We bought a Anderson 3000 series self storing storm door with a retractable screen that slides down into the door. This way we can have the door open even if it is hot and get light in. When the weather is cooler you can slid down the top part and get fresh air in. We have also had the hideaway door, while that is nice you cannot use it when the days are hot. We got it from Home Depot approx $250 plus installation.

Depends on the pet! We have one, and our golden has never even thought about trying to get out. I can remember several former cats, however, who would've just laughed as they made their exit.

Lowers or Home Depot. They do have sales on doors from time to time.

I agree with the Larsen door from Lowes. Bottom half fixed window and top half window lets down to utilize screen. Very good quality and very nice hardware with a reasonable price and Lowes did a Great job installing it for a small install fee.
