This is for Old_As_Dirt and anyone else who it help in the future

What should i be looking at specifically. Once i lock the brakes, the tail light goes off.

I am not allowed to answer in the forum you asked your question. I am not qualified to answer more than a handful of questions in that forum, but I recently experienced what you are seeing on my Club Car DS. It was a simple fix and worth checking if you are so inclined.

In my case the symptoms were the same. The issue was a dirty micro-switch. The role of this switch is to turn the brake lights on and off when you depress the brake pedal. This is not the parking brake switch. Here is what it looks like. That "plunger on the right should click twice, once when depressed and once when released. Mine was only clicking one time. In my case it turned out just be a little dirty...

Here is where it sits on my club Car. A little dirty :)

If you ran over a kerb or something similar it may be the bracket that holds the microswitch was bent. That's what happened to me.
