Does anyone go to Dr. Smith at Laurel Manor Dental? Do you like him? I don't want a dentist who is going to pressure me to get work done.

Yes I have seen Dr Smith. He is no pressure. I have had several crowns and a bridge done by him. He suggested this is what could be done or I could wait on it but my teeth would continue to deteriorate and I would lose them. It was up to me. I figured to get it done before I have other health issues pop up. He is cautious with his shots but will gladly give you another. One dentist back home it felt all the way up to my eyeballs were froze. I think as seniors - less is better. My treatment went very well. He also reshaped my bite. My husband also sees him

BTW I happened to dig out an old treatment plan by another dentist here from 7 yrs ago. The cost was higher and it had the same treatment I was surprised by that

Well an update:

Dr Smith has left. Glad that I managed to have my work finished. Now my hubby needs to proceed on with his treatment

I have reviewed my paperwork and here is what I have:

Went to 4 dentists here in and near TV. Did not like them or $$$$. #5 was in Colony in 2009 and was there long enough for X-rays and exam/cleaning when we learned that the dentist didn't work out in that office and left. We were told to go to Laurel Manor. #6 was there for a year or two and left. #7 was there for 4 yrs and left suddenly. #8 Dr Smith lasted one year. I hadn't really paid much attention to this but the shortness of #5 and #8. So here we are again w/o a dentist. At present there is someone working at L Manor but a reliable source says he may be temporary. Considering that they are not a preferred provider for our insurance we think it is time to find someone who is We will see where this all lands us this time

Not happy campers for sure
