I just finished my third epidural shot with him. He is very pleasant. Dr. spurrier (well regarded local neurosurgeon in the area) said if he needs to refer a patient to a pain mgmt. doctor, he always refers to Dr. Payman. My back pain decreased about 70%.

In my opinion he is the best around! I have used him for my back pain which was mismanaged by several other pain management doctors in the area. He has excellent bedside manners, and takes the time to listen , understand, and develop a plan to get you back pain free. He practices interventional pain management, so he doesn't just throw pills at a problem... He goes to the source of the problem to help decrease/ eliminate the cause....I've been very very happy with him and would recommend him without any hesitation..

Worst advice I have ever received. I was in for shots in my lower spine at 10:00 AM and at 11:15 there was still a patient ahead of me. I left as it appears that our time means nothing. I told Dr. Payman to go to hell and will not be back!

as you know...the surgery center asks you to come in 30 minutes prior to your procedure to get an iv..so your procedure is scheduled to start at 10:30...i think when it comes to peoples spines and being diligent, we don't want to be treated like a factory and just rushed through...so if he was running 40 minutes behind schedule, i think its a little rash and classless to tell a doctor to go to hell, especially with the astounding reputation and results he has shown for patients and their pain...
i think you may be a little out of line here sir
