According to the online news source we aren't allowed to link. She has requested a trial by jury and her Attorney is Joseph INDELICATO.

I don't know what she did to bust her probation, but this time there is NO bond.

We saw her in Spanish Springs a couple of weeks before her last arrest. She was behaving in a very improper manner. At least that time the man she was with had the good sense to take her away from public display. That was when she feel down and he had to help her walk. So sad.

If you made them characters in a novel, people would accuse you of writing a farce.

No doubt, the lady needs help. But she has to make that decision.

You know, I think we all share your compassion, but now I am beginning to feel sorry for all of us who live here. We are the laughing stock of the world.

I assume we're talking about the "sex on the square" gal?

I think that the sex on the square incident was probably where she broke her probation. I was wondering why she wasn't detained for this.

I hate to say it, but this woman is in a lot of trouble for a stupid mistake. I spoke with someone that knows here the other day and he said that she is very embarrassed about the whole thing and said that her loneliness just got the better of her and she acted foolishly.

But, you can't keep breaking the law and continue to get slapped on the wrist. I feel bad for her because this was really a silly thing to create all this trouble.

I actually agree with you. These situations happen all over the world, but for some unknown reason, The Villages is getting a bad rap. I was highly insulted when I read the article that was written in the UK. Everyone I have met are decent, respectable people. I may be traveling in a different circuit but I like who I am and I like the people with whom I associate. Even if I am out at a bar for an evening, I meet decent respectable and friendly individuals.

When she got the DUI charge she was placed on probation. The arrest for lewd behavior in the square is what violated that probation. She is going to have to start taking life one day at a time. I hope she gets better.

I hope she does too. It says right in the article that it was the square incident that caused the violation of parole.

And splashing this around publicly does no good. The woman has a problem, but she does not represent TV any more than the other people who are arrested here, for making meth, driving drunk, etc. If you are angry that she is making a laughingstock out of us, then all the more reason to ignore anything having to do with her.

Let it quietly go away and hope that she sees the need and has the means to get help. I know her too, casually, but enough to know there is something very sad in her life.

Having been a probation officer for 35 years I can speak to this situation. Her new arrest violated the condition to "avoid injurious or vicious habits." Normally they would have waited to file a violation against her until she is convicted of the new crime. Because this case has become "high profile" I am sure Probation was told to file the violation immediately by the District Attorney's Office. In the scheme of things in the criminal justice system, other than her DUI, this crime is pretty minor.

What ever happened to human compassion?
This unfortunate soul clearly has some personal problems, and her judgement is seriously impaired for reasons that can't be clear to observers at a distance. This whole incident took on a circus atmosphere, which has encouraged the media and the world outside "the bubble" to snicker and deride the our community and the residents of our self-designated "paradise."
We are fortunate to live in a well-groomed community with many amenities, populated by a lot of folk enjoying their well-earned retirements. Among any population of this size there will exist individuals with emotional problems, poor judgement and some even capable of felonious behavior; that's us, that's the human in a natural state regardless of pleasant environmental conditions.
We are pointing fingers and mocking as if we are at some sad sideshow of unfortunates.
"Let he who is without sin.........."

I agree. Give it a rest. Bringing this poor woman's woes up again in a public forum is insensitive at best. Moderators - close down this thread?

I agree w/the last 3 posters.... it wouldn't be so bad if she had not had her face and name broadcasted to the whole entire world for all to laugh, sneer and mock her. We are all (some)sinners saved by grace, and let him with no sin cast the 1st stone...

I remember time and time again that The Daily Sun was maligned for not reporting the news. When people cross a certain line of behavior, it becomes news.

You may respond to it in many ways but it is still news.

It all depends on how you look at things. You can find bad...or good in anything.

We don't know what demons this woman is battling, but it is no longer a private problem. It isn't funny to her family or to her partner's family. They are suffering terribly.

Maybe being kept away from alcohol for a time will help her get started on the right path.

I typically don't respond to many postings but I tend to agree that it's a shame and she needs help. BUT, a friend of a friend lives in her neighborhood and as it's been told, she's not the least bit ashamed of her actions. She is married to a handicapped and very ill husband. This is what I've been told. I don't know the lady personally; it's what I've heard and read but the bottom line is she needs help - I'm not so sure about the compassion part but she does need help and if she has friends out there, they would do her a great service to support her in getting the help she needs.

I love you, Gracie, but I have to disagree with you on this one. It is a private problem, unless we keep feeding the news media frenzy by carrying it forward. It's not going to affect sales in TV, and if anyone thinks poorly of us because of the drunk drivers, break-ins, meth producers, drug dealers and public illegal displays of private parts, well... that's their problem. We know who we are, and I frankly don't care what anyone else thinks of TVs. Let them laugh all they want. As Joe says, I would not let them rent space in my head.

I am very thankful that life's circumstances has landed me with a great husband and a good family in a sound financial situation. I feel sorry for this woman and hope she gets the help she needs.

And I agree with those who say "Let he who is without sin..."

Because it falls outside of the usual things that happen. It doesn't make it our business, but it makes it news.

It is disgusting when anything terrible happens. It wouldn't have been exploited so much if she weren't almost 70. The rest of the world doesn't want to think we older people even have sex. THAT is disgusting. If the couple had been in their twenties, it wouldn't have been news.

YOU and I are discussing it because it hit the news again. I'll stop posting about it. How about you?

You were told by a friend of a friend and have the need to post on a public forum?!?!? I rarely post either and find it disheartening that the few times you may have posted you felt the need to post hearsay.

I have certainly done some things that I would not broadcast to the world like this incident has been. I am glad that this is a tough woman going through this.

Maybe she will find a compassionate jury and judge that will get her the alcoholism treatment she needs.

Its just the magnitude of numbers. When TV was relatively small the percentage of party all out people was small compared to the more conservative. Now that your looking at 100K plus its the same percentage just a bigger number to multiply against. The article I read did not put the moral character of the villages in good light. Its a shame because there are many good people helping the local area in many ways. Lots of people and lots of inexpensive booze never leads to anything good.
