Went by gators dockside today at 1:30 PM. It is now open, their first day.
Nice to have another place for food open south of 466A. Nice menu, (like the one in Spanish Springs). Beer was ice cold, had a cuban sandwitch, wife had chicken
wings, food was very good, as was service. This is really the first resteraunt in Brownwood with such a large menu, anything you want from snacks to full meals. Not than expensive to go to.
Welcome to Brownwood, Gators, hope you do very well. Give them a try.

Many people have tried online petitions, posted links to different web sites. Not much luck. Most of the replies from those places were not enough residents to warrant the investment.

While I agree with you, it seems that the successful businesses seem to fair better.

Nothing against Gator Dockside, and I wish them all the best; HOWEVER, we prefer to support mom & pop places (if the food is to our liking, of course) and avoid the chains when we can.

I'd settle for a closer Walmart!
We already have 3 Walmarts. Two are golf cart accessible and the other is only 5 miles from Colony.

You're in luck! Ricciardi's is a Mom and Pop restaurant in Brownwood and the food is delicious!

We stopped in last evening it was terrible!! We had chicken wings! We sit at the bar and the bar waitress never mention they had a special on chicken wings for Wednesday night !! The wings were so tiny there was no meat on them!!! Big disappointment! Also, the service was poor! Good thing we have other choices close by !! Beef o Brady's the best wings in town!!!

That's odd. I have been to Gators Dockside in Brownwood the last two Mondays (50 cent wing night!) and have not only loved the wings but they were all of average size with plenty of meat on them. Ten of them filled me up each time (along with some added celery) and I don't consider myself a light eater. They do have four different ways they cook/prepare them. I was told the "grilled" were the most preferred (my wife tried these) but I liked the "traditional" fried the best. On each visit our servers were very friendly and helpful. I realize everyone has different tastes, but try the traditional with plenty of hot sauce next time.

We had breakfast there last week and were very satisfied with menu, prices food and service. Nice to have an option other than buffet for breakfast south of 466.
