Lost Name

When I went in to log into my account with the name "Floridagal" and requested a new password I was told there is no Floridagal registered. How do I get back my old name. I have over 8 hours on it.

Are you sure your name that shows up when you post and 'user ID' are the same? You need the user ID and password to change your profile. Well anyway I believe that is how it goes.

It does show Floridagal is a member, so I'd try again. Good luck. I know I hate when I have to start over on a site and lose my old standing.

how do we know it's really you? could be an identity thief

Whether Eleanor or Floridagal, she'd still have to know her password and, if she doesn't, then it would be mailed to her email account. So, does it matter if someone is claiming to be someone else in this case? It's not like an almost similar name is posting and being obnoxious (which I've seen happen -- THAT matters!).
