View Full Version : Does Anyone Know Who This Lady Is?
When we visited the Villages last October we saw the woman in the 2cd photo holding the water bottle each time we went to the town square.
She always had a happy smile on her face and is a great dancer. She also seemed to always be with a group of dancers.
Because of the group with her I was thinking perhaps she teaches line dancing at one of the community centers? It would be great to take a class when I visit again.
Are there classes in line dancing or do most just jump in at the square and learn as they go along?

If you read the article it gives her name.
I did read the article. I see the name of one of the dancers but not the one holding the water bottle that I was thinking may teach line dancing.

The article doesn't give the name. He is asking for the name of the woman with the water bottle. We just call her line dance lady. She is a joy to watch.

I'd be reluctant to provide personal info about her, or anyone, on this site. Next time you're in TV, why not ask her yourself?
And, yes, there are many line dance instructors in TV. Just check the Rec news available at rec centers.
This post strikes me as kind of creepy...just sayin'

Not asking for personal information. Asking if she teaches classes in line dancing due to the group with her.
Its hard to schedule things at the last minute so was hoping someone knew so could schedule a class for when hubby and I visit next month if she did.

Don't you just show up for line dancing classes? Or am I mistaken?

Just show up. Look at the on line schedule of activities for when you will be here. There are many, many classes for line dancing. Beginning beginner all the way to advanced.
As for the "water bottle lady" ....do a search on TOTV. There are threads on here about her.

Many thanks.
I see she doesn't teach from the thread I found where others asked about her dancing. Drats, it would have been a blast to take a class with her.
Anyway, I also find more info on line dancing in the Villages if anyone else is interested in classes. I did not realize you could just drop in. I am definitely going to try to get in a class when we visit. It looks like a lot of fun!

I know who you mean, and I enjoy watching her dance as well. She raises line dancing to a whole new level, and she radiates such joy when she dances. Fun to watch.

Me too. You could have just saved the image and posted just that instead of putting that whole nasty article on the forum again. Like this:

I don't know here name, but one of my neighbors knows her. All my friends call her the pony tail girl because of the way that she swings her pony tail around when she dances.

I'm with you. If I had been either of these women I would be so upset that my photo was attached to this article. They are both great dancers. They should not have been attached to the trashy article.

She has a pony tail, keeps a water bottle in hand, and wears flip flops. That's the basis of her nicknames. But whatever, she sure adds to the enjoyment to the Squares. And there are a few other regulars that deserve recognition also that are free style dancers.

The free style dancers, though eccentric, are interesting to watch.

I've heard her referred to as Miss H2O because of the water bottle.

There are a lot of YouTubes about line dancing in the Villages. The above one references the Twins as the instructors. They look graceful.

Her name is Lisa and she would laugh if she knew you think she should be a teacher. Just because someone knows how to dance doesn't mean that they can transfer that knowledge. I dance with her and am friends with her but the other line dancers know you can't follow Lisa most of the time. She has her own original style and is hard to follow steps. When I first moved here I watched her and was also entertained. Seven years later I now dance with her but if I needed to learn steps to a dance I'm not sure I could figure out what she's doing.

We first saw the "pony tail girl" on our first visit to TV in 2008. She had her back turned to the group of dancers and was following the steps perfectly in reverse. Very impressive. She always makes me smile.

If you are talking Spanish Springs Square; We call her the "Visor girl" as she always wears a visor. From her infectious smile, I believe she really does enjoy line dancing (or maybe that is not water in her bottle!).
Another character is the "Line Dancing Nazi" (no offense intended, humor only!), She appears to be very serious about line dancing and often offers pointers or instruction to many on the dance floor. She appears to be very nice, just has a stern look.
Both appear to be good enough to be instructors and I am often amazed at the genre of music they can line dance to (from "Freebird" to "Talk Dirty", and anything in between), LOL.

Not sure if that is completely true about veto power especially if they are used for commercial purposes. Used in a story like this is probably OK do not get permission, but if used to sell something other than a story. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personality_rights
