having a problem downloading any files from any site...when i click to open and download I get a notice DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION and windows shuts down....this started a few weeks ago maybe because of updates on Windows or Java? ....has anyone else had this happen and were you able to fix it?

At first I thought this sounded like a virus. I did a quick Google search on the phrase DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION and found several results, for each of the last 4 versions of Windows, so if you can get on the Internet, suggest you do the same and look at the posts specific to the version of Windows you are running. If this does not work, there is a Villages computer club, and there are several local PC repair companies and individuals. When you log on to TOTV again, go to search and type in computer or computer repair.
Good Luck.
