I don't know who came up with the idea for the Crispers get-together and who shared in the organization, but thank you. It was very interesting to put faces and sometimes legitimate names to TOTV names and to chat (real talk, not that abbr trash) with folks face to face. And a special thanx to Kathie who kinda forced me into attending and to Chelsea and Nonie for not hurting me.

See, a straight post. No jokes.

What a wonderful time! I had so much fun at Crisper's today. Honestly, I'm so happy to meet all of you and can't think of a more pleasant way to spend an afternoon than with a group of friends. I, too, feel as if I've known you forever. Without exception, everyone was so welcoming and warm. Having just moved here a few months ago and feeling like a fish out of water, I want to thank all of you for really making this feel like home. A special thanks to Kathi for bringing everyone together.

And I think I can speak for Nonie when I way, Muncle, we ((((((hug)))) you big time! You're a sweetie.

Kisses :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* to all!

I agree with Chelsea, great luncheon today!! ;D Every time we all get together as a group, I meet more people who are strangers, yet ..... strangely familiar because I've read so many of their posts and know so much about them. We really are a family, united by the common experiences we're having & sharing as newbies or wantabees.

Great concept Administrators, we owe it all to you.

I agree that the luncheon at Crispers was great fun. I really enjoyed it and hopefully I'll be able to attend the one in March and will meet even more of the terrific TOTV people. You do feel like you know these people ... they are not strangers, they are friends you haven't met yet.

I did not make it to the 1400 posts I hoped to have by the February 15, 2008 luncheon because of all my running around on the 15th. First to the Doggie Doo Run Run, then to the Villages Computer Club usual Friday meeting, and then to the TOTV monthly lunch. Was so tired out that we got take-out from, where else, Crispers, Friday night. Thought the twenty (or < less) something blonde with the cast at Crispers' counter could have thought I was stalking her. :joke:

Usually get the club sandwich, the chicken caesar wrap, or something along those lines at Crispers. I am not that risky with new food choices so am not really acquainted with many of the items on Crispers menu.

PJ:
Obviously you've got to come to the TOTV lunches. Great fun!
And, MSNPA and I, being cat people (there are probably others!), will especially welcome you.
Your beautiful orange tabby reminds me of our Ginger, our first cat, 'way back in 1958. She was with us until sometime in '63 or '64 when we believed she got caught up in a nearby house fire, and we never saw her again :-(
Now, I live alone with my 15-year-old Beta, a great companion.

OMG swrinfla, how sad about your orange tabby Ginger. I'm really a cat person too. My orange guy in my pix is "Noni", and I miss him a lot. He's still with my ex-hubby in NO VA. We decided he could stay there because he's an indoor/outdoor guy who loves his life there, and enjoys performing a service to the neighborhood by catching mice & other varmints in our neighbor's overgrown backyard. We were not sure he'd like being kept indoors down here. Wouldn't it be great if they could talk, and we could ask them where they'd like to be....
