I am checking to see if anyone has ever tiled their Gardenia from front door out to the lanai and left the dining room and living room carpeted.

We raised our lanai floor and tiled our Gardenia from front door to back of lanai. However, we also decided to tile the dining and living areas and only left carpet in the bedrooms. We think that the continuous tiled floor throughout the living space enhances the open look and feel. Good luck in your decision!

We have our Gardenia tiled in all room except the bedrooms, also just added backsplash and area below the high counter, see photos. Also, the tile floor is very easy to clean.

I have my certification in staging a home.
Whatever you do, keep it all the same in the living area.
The bedrooms are a separate issue.
You want your eye to flow and not stop.
You don't want the main attention to be drawn to your flooring
and by having two or more (heaven forbid :22yikes:)
different flooring treatments, that's where your eyes go.
You want the attention to be drawn to your window treatments, wall decoration, furniture arrangement, etc.
