What is with WiFi? Today @ 10AM my wife and I went to Panera's for coffee & danish, absolutely full, people walking with trays looking for seats and yet 3 tables had computer users,no one else but them...Why don't they do what they have to do at home.Am I missing something?

For some, there really aren't a lot of options. They're renters and the house doesn't have an internet connection and they don't want to use the host's phone.
I know yesterday Comcast was down for several hours. If you really had some important business to conduct, you were probably running to Denny's, Panera's, some of the rec centers to get things done.
Then there's the other group -- so addicted that they have to be online everywhere, all the time. I won't comment.

I don't really think it is a connection issue. Up here in MA all the Panara's are loaded with on-line users. And they are there before we eat and after we finish. Not sure how Panara's feels that they make money off of them since they do take up whole tables of 4 with usually only 1 person. My guess is that it is just a comfortable place to get a coffee and danish and refill once in a while yet getting their jobs done. Most look like workers and/or students, not just web surfers.

If Panera's didn't want the wifi users they wouldn't provide it.
Everyone should be sharing tables when a place like Panera's is full and people are waiting.
Coffee drinkers have been known to hog tables 2 (and Panera's coffee is not so great)
