Internet in the Villages

Is anyone else having problems getting on the internet today? Mine has been difficult to get on and very very slow.

Mom....comcast hi speed here and no general problems with internet today; have had a couple of times where TOTV would not come up when clicked on and had to click it again.

Comcast was out of service for several hours Wed morning.

After messing with my router and modem for about an hour Wed. morning, unplugging, replugging, trying different cable outlets, restarting my computer, I finally called Comcast. Tried several times but the line was always busy. I assumed then that they were down and that everyone was calling.
Shoot,,,I wish I would have called before I went thru all that aggravation.

But mine seems to be working fine today.

How is the Comcast reliability? Up here I don't think I've been down more than 3-4 times in about 5 years and never for several hours. One time last fall my modem was acting strange and they came out and replaced it with a new one. The service tech said 'gee your outside wire looks like the old type." The next week they came out and ran a new wire from the street to the house, 125 feet, and also a new cable from the junction box to my HD TV all at no cost. Expensive monthly but reliable service!

I have had two outages with Comcast in the past three years. After doing the normal things - shutdown and turn off the equipment I called and fond out it was a Comast problem so I just wait. Wednesday was a 4 hour wait but I went grocery shopping to offset the time.
