and the little "wifi" button up front came off. I have no internet now on that machine. Anyone have any ideas? Is there a local "geek squad"?

Sam, I'd go to the tech fair this Saturday and see what they suggest. If that doesn't help, there's always CircuitCity. I've had good and bad luck with the service in other CircuitCity's in the past. I also remember a post by someone saying they'd happily trade computer work for whatever.

Ouch :yikes: :yikes: However your timing is excellent. Take it to the Tech Fair Tal's been talking about.

Sam,
If fixing the wifi button ends up being an expensive proposition, another alternative is to buy a USB wireless adapter....plugs into USB port (about the size of a flash drive) and sniffs out wireless signals. I bought two online, on sale/rebate, at about $20 each....just did a quick look, they are anywhere from 25-50 now.
Good luck.
