XP update

If Microsoft is no longer updating XP why did I just get one? I did no install it.
It is called, Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool – July 2014 (KB890830)

This update has really nothing to do with XP an an operating system. The Windows Malicious Software Tool is a separate component that is included in all Windows operating systems. A user would see the same update for Windows 7 or Windows 8. Might be a good idea to install it if you are still using Windows XP to access the internet.

The Windows Malicious Software Tool is released every month to all versions of Windows.

It is safe to install.
