I'm new to TV and not aware of all the clubs and special interest groups.
Is there a group or club that is focused on BIG dogs that live here?
We have 2 Golden Retrieves, have friends with 2 Goldens also, and have seen several German Shepards, a Great Dane, a St. Bernard, and several other large breed dogs while out walking mine in the morning. Surely with all the groups here there must be one that is focused on the needs of our larger furry members of the family.

I don't know of one, but maybe we should start one. I have a golden and know someone who just moved here with three Russian wolf hounds--borzois--(legal, new resident). In our neighborhood there is a dalmation and a something--white with pointy ears, looks like about 60-70 lbs. Malamute? Then Barefoot has Lollipop, who's about 70 lbs.

Sounds like a great idea as there are so few Big dogs here. I think trading or bartering for a few hours time to get a little R&R ( vacation )time with someone who understands big dogs would be helpful. Keep me in mind if you get a group together .

The Responsible Dog Owners Group is a newer doggie group that meets at 7:00 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month in the Eisenhower Rec Center. The membersship is comprised of dog owners of any size dogs and those who simply love dogs.
Diane Ferguson, who started this group, is responsible for us getting a brand new dog park with construction due to be started around October. It will be located near the new Publix at Brownwood, on County Road 44.
We always have an interested speaker at each meeting. Everyone is welcome!
