I have been referred to the Village Endoscopy & Surgical Centre and I would appreciate any information from anyone who has been referred and treated there, at the moment I am amazed that they say I will not be given a time for my procedure until the day prior. Is this usual for the Villages health care?
I had a procedure done at that center this winter. Not sure what you are having done, but maybe that has something to do with scheduling. My doctor told me I would get a call to schedule....could have gone as soon as two days after my visit with him. I scheduled for a week later. Staff was great, procedure was done, consult afterwards was done and I was told I would receive a call with results in a few days. Call came as I was told.

In my humble opinion.....
...this is a TOP- NOTCH Surgical Center.....
.......................Dr Gabriel has treated family on several occasions.
Likely the scheduling can get tricky because the.....
.....Doctors have their actual practices in other cities...
.........much coordination of the Docs available time is involved.
This facility is an AMBULATORY Surgical Center.
The Docs share this facility to keep costs down.
All clinical staff are highly skilled and friendly.
The support staff is very easy to deal with.
REMEMBER...
....this is a SURGICAL Center and as such can be VERY Cold inside...
... ...............you and your driver may wish to take a jacket or sweater.
Rita, at the reception area, may provide a heated blanket...
..... coffee and Restrooms available in hall between Reception
and Pre-Op waiting Rooms.
I would recommend Dr. Gabriel and this facility.

I had my colonoscopy done about a month ago, by Dr.Gabriel.
Although I found it disconcerting there wasn't an appointment time given, until the day before. I was getting nervous as I couldn't start my prep, until I knew the appointment time. I was called in plenty of time to start the prep, and everything came out in the end. :D
This facility and it's staff are very professional and found the experience pleasant. A nice clean surgical center, run very efficiently, by staff personnel.
They have it down to a science, in terms of timing.
Dr. Gabriel is top notch. IMHO

Actually after reading all of the notes I see that you asked about the timing.
One place I went to gave you the day immediately and called you the day before with the time.
The other place I went to gave you the day and the time right away.
But I am not sure if it was the Village Endoscopy & Surgical Centre.
That is the best I can offer.
